2。5 starsThis was a pretty good sequel to atlas and Lily’s love story。 I had some issues with how they stayed and reminisced a lot about the past which frustrated me， because that happened in the first book and I wanted the focus of this book to be on the present/future。 Also， the pacing of the story was a little weird。 The love story was pretty dry as well， not as angsty as I expected it to be。

To me this story hits closer to my heart because it truly shines a light on what it’s like to still have to be in that situation and how hard it is to navigate that situation。 It wasthe closure I didn’t know I needed after It ends with us。

I don’t usually write book reviews but I felt like this book needed one。 It Ends With Us means a lot to me- it is the book that got me back into reading and it was a roller coaster of emotions。 It was a beautiful， heartbreaking story where I found myself relating to in very unexpected ways。 With that being said， of course， like everyone else I was rooting for Lily and Atlas， rooting for the happy ending that I love Colleen Hoover so much for。 The ending was perfect。 It was simple， it was beautif I don’t usually write book reviews but I felt like this book needed one。 It Ends With Us means a lot to me- it is the book that got me back into reading and it was a roller coaster of emotions。 It was a beautiful， heartbreaking story where I found myself relating to in very unexpected ways。 With that being said， of course， like everyone else I was rooting for Lily and Atlas， rooting for the happy ending that I love Colleen Hoover so much for。 The ending was perfect。 It was simple， it was beautiful， and I felt that it had tied up the book in a perfect bow。 After finishing， in my head， Atlas and Lily did have their perfect ending and their perfect life together and I was happy and satisfied。 I didn’t feel like I needed more。When It Starts With Us was first announced， of course I was going to read it， I read everything Colleen Hoover writes and somehow this Woman always brings tears to my eyes。 When I first started reading It Starts With Us… I hated it。 Why would Colleen Hoover mess with a book that is already so perfect。 I felt like it was undoing that perfect bow。 Well I have to say， Colleen Hoover， if you ever read this， I am so sorry for doubting you。 This book was perfect because life isn’t perfect and this book speaks true to that。 Yes， after It Ends With Us， in my head Lily and Atlas live this perfect life， and that’s why I didn’t like It Starts With Us at first because it’s not all sunshine and rainbows。 It gets messy and complicated， but so does life and that does mean there can’t be a happy ending。 Colleen Hoover… you have done it again。 Thank you for being my therapist through your books。 。。。more

CoHo never planned on writing this sequel but she gave the fans of IEWU what they begged for。 This book while isn’t my favorite of hers， did exactly what she wanted it to do: show Lily and Atlas happy together after all the hell they both had endured in their lives。
